Wimbledon Themed Window Mural

Today I want to share a guide to commissioning and designing a Wimbledon themed window mural and my experience. As a professional London window artist, I have designed and painted window murals for the past 20 years.

One of my most favourite times of the year is Wimbledon and I’m not alone. Tennis was invented in the UK and Wimbledon is the oldest tennis tournament in the world, beginning in 1877.

Fast-forward 147 years to 2024, and we know that last year, over half-a-million people visited the tournament and BBC iPlayer received 54.3 million streams over the two week period. Which confirms Wimbledon as one of the most popular sporting events of the year.

Wimbledon Village Tennis Windows Competition 2024

One of my murals commissioned by Andy’s Salon has made a big impression at the Wimbledon Village Tennis Windows Competition 2024. It is featured on the Wimbledon website and is describes as “the most original window of 2024“. Here’s what they said:

Your Wimbledon Mural – Three Points to Consider

To give some inspiration to your Wimbledon themed window mural, here are three simple points to consider when developing your Wimbledon themed window mural. Overall, let’s make your business stand out from the crowd while celebrating the very British sporting spectacular which is Wimbledon.

First, decide on a style of mural art. Should it be:

Next, consider what Wimbledon elements you want to include in the scene:
